The term "antisemitism", or disrespect towards Jews as members of a special race, first arose by antisemites in Germany during the 1870s.
A combination of racial antisemitism and Social Darwinism changed the traditional views of antisemitism. Racial theories towards Jews became obvious in Europe and Germany in the middle of the 19th century.

January 1933: The Nazi Party took power of Germany & Hitler became
Chancellor.
After Hindenburg appointed Kurt von Schleicher as Chancellor, a rumor spread that he would overthrow Hindenburg, the president of Germany. So Hindenburg decided that electing Hitler as chancellor would help the government to become more stable and, as many people believed, it would protect Hindenburg.
September 1935: the German government passed the Nuremburg laws, modifying the racial definition of Jews, negatively changing citizenship and fundamental rights. Any person with 4 or more Jewish grandparents was considered a Jew, even if the person did not have the religion. Also, it stated that a Non-Jew could not be married to a Jew.
It was at that point when Hitler was in power, that the Holocaust began...
